Shake Ridge Vineyard is located in the Sierra Foothills along a ridge 1,650–1,810 feet above sea level, overlooking the town of Sutter Creek. Renowned grower, Ann Kraemer is one of the most highly respected figures in the wine world. She carefully analyzed soils and determined which grapes would grow best and exactly where on her ranch. Barbera loves heat, so the orientation for the vines is on the west-facing slope. In short order, this vineyard has proven to be a true star.
